Check-in/Arrival Information

Check-in time is 3:00 PM or after

Check-in is at the office located in the general store. 

The General Store office is open 9 am-5 pm daily. 

(Hours may vary for holidays; check with the office staff prior to reservation)

 

Late Arrivals:

If guests arrive after hours, please notify the office before closing for cabin check-in information. 

 

The full amount of the guests’ lodging reservation is due at check-in at the office. 

 

If guest(s) arrive after hours, the full amount of the reservation will be charged to the card number on file by the end of the business day. 

Payment must be made at or before the lodging check-in or the lodging reservation will be canceled, and additional cancellation policy fees will apply.

Lodging Cancellation Policy

All lodging reservations have a 14-day cancellation policy. 

 

Guests have up to 14 days prior to their lodging reservation to cancel with no fees. 

The full amount of the guest's reservation will be charged to the card on file if there is a cancellation within 14 days of the guest’s lodging reservation. 

 

Lodging reservations are held with a valid Visa, Discover, MasterCard, or American Express card. The valid card is held (not charged) for the lodging deposit and, in the event of a cancellation, any excessive cleaning, damages, and/or missing/stolen items. 

 

The full amount of the guests’ lodging reservation is due at check-in at the office. 

If guests are arriving after hours, the full amount of the lodging reservation will be charged to the card number on file by the end of the business day. 

 

Full payment for lodging must be made before check-in. Otherwise, the lodging reservation will be canceled, and additional cancellation fees will apply. 

 

Any lodging cancellations or changes to the guests’ lodging reservation MUST be done via phone. If a voice message is left, it is the guests’ responsibility to follow up. 

 

We do NOT accept cancellations via email or social media comments/messages. 

Check-out/Departure Information

Check-out time is 11:00 AM

Guest duties:

-Place all trash/recycle in outside trashcans

-Dishes need to be washed, or a cleaning fee will apply 

-Make sure the hot tub lid is closed

-Check for personal items (we are not responsible for lost items) 

-If personal items are found, guests are responsible for shipping fees to return

-Make sure all doors and windows are shut

-Heating/Cooling is set to 70

 

Late check-out, unless prior arrangements are made with the office, will result in a late check-out fee starting at $50. 

 

If guests are scheduled to check out on the day of a boat rental or river trip, make sure all personal belongings are removed from lodging before departing on the trip.

Note/Disclosure:

If you cancel your boat reservation due to weather or water conditions, it does NOT exempt guests’ from a lodging reservation. 

Lodging and Boat Rentals are SEPARATE reservations and have SEPARATE cancellation policies. 

 

A reservation for lodging involving a Friday or Saturday night requires a minimum stay of at least 2 nights.

 

Holiday weekends require a 3-night minimum.

 

Excessive occupancy: No parties or events.

 

Property boundaries: 

Please ask the office about exploring the property; some areas are off-limits to guests due to safety or private property.

 

All lodging prices are subject to change without notice.

 

Note: GPS is not an effective direction tool for our area, and cell service is spotty or unavailable in certain areas.

Excessive Cleaning Policy:

By reserving lodging, guests agree to pay for any excessive cleaning.

Additional fees will apply for smoking indoors, stains on furniture, linens, rugs, floors, walls, waste cleanup, pet stains, cigarette cleanup, and any additional extreme or excessive cleaning to any lodging areas.

 

It is the guests’ responsibility to notify the LVC office staff on check-in day (or next morning if checking in after hours) if cleanliness is not up to par. We will respond as promptly as possible to resolve the issue at hand. 

If no issues are reported, we assume everything was acceptable during your stay.

 

Lost Valley Canoe and Lodging reserves the right to charge your credit/debit cards for any excessive cleaning.

Damages/Missing Policy:

By reserving lodging, guests agree to pay for any damages to the interior or exterior structure or surrounding property landscape. 

 

(Includes, but is not limited to, cosmetic damage of any kind, indoor/outdoor furniture, breakables, linens/rugs, décor, appliances, plumbing, hot tub, fire pit area, any sort of carving indoors/outdoors, stolen/missing items, items not working properly, etc.)

 

A fee will apply and will be based on current market value and hourly labor.

 

Lost Valley Canoe and Lodging reserves the right to charge your credit/debit cards for any damages to the interior/exterior structure of the lodging or the surrounding property landscape or any missing/stolen items. 

 

 

It is the guests’ responsibility to notify the LVC office on check-in day (or next morning if checking in after hours) if something is missing, broken, or not working properly.  We will respond as promptly as possible to resolve the issue at hand. 

If no issues are reported, we will assume all items were in working order and accounted for during your stay.

Pet Policy:

Pet rates in cabins are $25 + tax for each pet per night. 

Pet rates in the bunkhouse are $10 per night. 

 

If pets are left unattended, they MUST be created. 

 

Please do not allow pets on any furniture. 

 

Please keep your pet on a leash when outdoors! 

 

Pets must be well-behaved and treated for fleas and ticks. 

 

Thank you for cleaning up your pet waste! Waste can be disposed of in the outside trashcan in proper disposal bags. 

 

Guests are responsible for any damages, excessive cleaning due to pet hair, smells, stains, and/or removing or cleaning pet waste. Additional fees will apply. 

 

Any undisclosed pet(s) will result in a $100 fee per pet per night of your reservation.

Groceries/Gas:

Our General Store offers a variety of food, ice cream, snacks, and even your favorite natural groceries, outdoor supplies, gas, ice, firewood, souvenirs, etc.


-Jasper or Harrison will be the next closest for groceries and gas.


Adult Beverages:
Newton County is a dry county. Please make arrangements to bring any preferred adult beverages before your stay.

Any pet(s) and/or evidence of pets in Yurts will result in a $100 fee per pet per night of your reservation. Additional fees will apply to any damages/excessive cleaning.

 

When bringing your pets, please remember that most trails in our area do not allow pets. 

Pets are allowed in rental canoes and kayaks (No Rafts).
