Float Descriptions:  Kyles Landing to Pruitt
This is ;float is the most common second day leg of a two day float starting in Ponca on day one. Many floaters choose to float day 1 from Ponca to Kyles, and day 2, Kyles to Pruitt. This is a great two day float offering ample time for a exploration along the river. .

Kyles Landing 10.3 miles A major access and very popular, secluded primitive campground on right utilized by Lost Valley Canoe.  Kyles is an excellent stopover on a two-day float or a perfect take-out for a one-day float. Road to Kyle's is somewhat rugged and is not recommended for RVs or buses. Lost Valley Canoe is fully equipped to provide shuttle service of any kind into Kyle's Landing. Kyles is arguably the hub of the Ponca Wilderness.
A Bluff 10.5 miles Immediately downstream and on the left following Kyle's Landing is followed by a long pool running toward the face of Buzzard Bluff; then the river turns left toward Gar Hole Bluff, which is yellowish and then Camp Orr.
Camp Orr 11.9 miles A Boy Scout camp and the old access is downstream of the camp buildings on the right bank with an island on the left
Goat Bluff 14.8 miles On left bank just before right loop in river course.
Erbie Ford and Erbie Campground 15.5 miles The ford and Erbie Campground are used as a limited access point.
Bucking Ford 17.4 miles Bucking Ford is just before a right turn has a series of broken ledges.
Overhanging Bluff 20.3 miles Overhanging Bluff is a usually spectacular sight with tipped strata.
Ozark Camp and Access 22 miles An excellent camping and river access facility equipped with toilets and water with beautifully situated campsites. RVs and buses can easily negotiate the Ozark Access road from Highway 7. On the left bank across from Ozark Camp is Picture Bluff and just downstream is Briar Bluff.
Old Pruitt Access and HWY 7 Bridge 24 miles The Pruitt Ranger Station is uphill on right before bridge. Restrooms are just before the Ranger Station on the right as you go uphill, also a picnic area.
Pruitt Access 24.3 miles Pruitt Access is on left sweeping bend on left. No camping is available at either Pruitt locations. There is a very popular swimming hole just upstream from the access.  Pruitt marks the typical second day of a two day float from Ponca.
