Canoe, Raft & Kayak Rentals
Launch Times: 9 a.m. To 12 noon
We offer three boat choices for floaters of the Buffalo National River.
All paper work and payments must be completed at the Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging store before you launch.
Our canoes are top of the line, Old Town canoes, and rent for $45.00 per boat, per day, with a minimum of 2 days on weekends in May.
Old Town Kayaks, rent for $35.00, per day. Choose from Otter (sit-in kayaks) or Helix (sit-on kayaks). Please specify when making reservations or you'll receive whats available.
Whitewater rafts come in two sizes: 4 or 6 person, and rent for $90.00 to $135.00, depending upon occupancy and day of the week.
Shuttle service for your vehicle is $25.00 when you're renting from LVC, or $35.00 when you're using a private float. We also offer a "people pick up" service at $10.00 per person (with canoe rental only), if you prefer not to shuttle your own vehicle. These prices vary depending on destination. Launch times are 9:00 a.m. thru 12 noon.

Important Notice
We do not float if the combined temperature of the air temperature and the water temperature is less than 100 degrees F. Always call us first before coming to see if we are floating. (870) 861-5522
Reservation Policy
Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of a 50% deposit by check, money order or credit card received within 10 days of making your reservation. Full refunds will be made only for cancellations made at least 10 days prior to reservation dates. Otherwise, we will refund the deposit only if another customer fills your reservation date.

Planning Checklist for a Successful Float
1. Obtain river condition information prior to trip from Lost Valley Canoe service at (870) 861-5522.
2. Be sure to make your trip reservations in advance by phone.
3. Always bring plenty of warm clothes and an extra set to be stored in dry bag or buckets.
4. Tie all gear into canoe.
5. Camp on high ground and secure canoes well. The Buffalo River is a wild river, river levels can rise rapidly in rainy weather.
6. Always wear life vest and exercise caution.
7. Contact the experts at Lost Valley Canoe to assist you in the preparation of an enjoyable and safe trip.

Current Buffalo River Levels, Flow, Water Temperature and Precipitation
Current river conditions as measured by USGS gauges in the following locations. These are in order from upper river to middle river.
Boxley (just south of the Upper Wilderness Trailhead) River level, water temperature in degrees Celsius, discharge rate and precipitation.. (Celsius to Fahrenheit converter)
Ponca River level and discharge rate. Air space below Ponca low water bridge. (if air space is more than 32 inches you will be doing some walking.)
Pruitt River level, water temperature in Celsius, discharge rate and precipitation.
St. Joe (middle river area) River level, water temperature in Celsius, discharge rate and precipitation.
